Suitable for those just getting started or more experienced painters. As long as you've had a play with the paints already you shouldn't find this too much :)

I rarely draw before I paint because it can stress me out before I even begin! But sometimes the act of sketching is what you need to get the best result, and it can be a grea way of getting perspective or details just right.

This covers the process of transferring a landscape from picture to paper, but could just as easily work on a portrait or object. We look at how to select colours and how much to sway from the original to get 'the feeling' across.

10% brain power required - perfect for when you want a gentle tutorial that lets you try out your watercolour skills.

This is a *pre-recorded* virtual session, based on the popular watercolour zoom session which runs live every week with an absolutely lovely gang of attendees. These pre-recorded sessions are approximately 30 minutes long, but you can re-watch them and hopefully they will set you off full of inspiration for as long painting as you need.

PLEASE NOTE:

This recording is for personal use only. If you wish to use in a corporate or educational setting you will need a corporate license, please contact me directly at:

How it's made

My paintings are created in layers of watercolour, gouache and ink. High-quality paints and 300gsm acid-free paper ensure the colours are vibrant and my experienced print provider has selected the best high gsm paper to reproduce this on so that the colours are matched closely to the original. Please note that some colours may look different on varying computer screens compared to natural light.
