'Ocean waves' breaks down how to build up a shiny water surface which has small waves or ripples. Really mindful and low pressure, this is a simple technique but will take practice to get it flowing easily. Don't worry if it takes a few tries, this sessions is great to repeat with different shades of blues and greens to achieve tropical seas, grey stormy oceans or deep blue lakes. You can even combine it with the pebbles tutorial to start to build a beach!

A great mindfulness practice and way of unwinding on your own or with family/friends.

This is a *pre-recorded* virtual session, based on the popular watercolour zoom session which runs live every week with an absolutely lovely gang of attendees. These pre-recorded sessions are up to 30 minutes long, but you can re-watch them and hopefully they will set you off full of inspiration for as long painting as you need.

Suitable for total beginners or more experienced painters.

How it's made

My paintings are created in layers of watercolour, gouache and ink. High-quality paints and 300gsm acid-free paper ensure the colours are vibrant and my experienced print provider has selected the best high gsm paper to reproduce this on so that the colours are matched closely to the original. Please note that some colours may look different on varying computer screens compared to natural light.
