This group of thistles fills the page and is full of vivid splashes of pinks, purples, orange and green, as well as small wild violets.

This was the first of the three thistle paintings and helped me know exactly how I wanted to paint the other two giant flowers.

My family is Scottish on my dads side and this plant is really special to me. Perfect for the home of someone who loves plants, wildlife or has Scottish links.

Available on its own or as one of three original A3 watercolours if you move quickly!

How it's made

My paintings are created in layers of watercolour, gouache and ink. High-quality paints and 300gsm acid-free paper ensure the colours are vibrant. Please note that some colours may look different on varying computer screens compared to natural light.

Packaging

Originals will be sent wrapped in tissue paper and a cellophane wrapper to protect from humidity and weather inside a protective tube.

Shipping

All items will be posted Royal Mail (2nd class signed for) within 5 working days.

Care Instructions

I select high quality paints for my original watercolours based on vibrancy and lightfastness. It is best not to hang any original watercolour in direct sunlight to maintain the colours at their brightest.

Due to being painted in watercolour, these paintings should be kept dry.
