This miniature art is a bit special. 100% cotton watercolour paper has been stretched over a canvas frame, multiple layers of watercolour and ink have been applied to create delicate and colourful wildflowers. Once totally dry gold leaf has been used to create some sunburnt summer grasses and then the whole piece has been waxed to make a waterproof piece ready to hang on the way without or without a frame.

My paintings are created in layers of watercolour, gouache and ink. High-quality paints and 300gsm acid-free paper ensure the colours are vibrant.
This piece was painted onto 100% cotton paper which has been stretched onto a wooden frame.
Please note that some colours may look different on varying computer screens compared to natural light.

Originals will be sent wrapped in tissue paper and a cellophane wrapper to protect from humidity and weather inside a protective tube.

I select high quality paints for my original watercolours based on vibrancy and lightfastness. It is best not to hang any original watercolour in direct sunlight to maintain the colours at their brightest.
This watercolour has been waxed meaning it is protected from dirt and moisture. If the painting needs to be cleaned you can wipe with a damp cloth.
